Abstract

The 221.9 GHz flux density from Sgr A*, the compact radio source at the center of our Galaxy, has been measured to be 2.4 +/- 0.5 Jy with the OVRO millimeter-wave interferometer. This emission level is well above that seen at lower frequencies, indicating the onset of a different emission component at near-millimeter wavelengths. We also report the possible detection of the supergiant IRS 7 at this frequency.
