Abstract

A model of low-frequency variable radio sources such as 3C 454.3 based on coherent curvature emission by high-energy electrons in the magnetosphere of a spinar is presented and discussed. This model is applicable to sources at cosmological distances and yields inverse Compton fluxes compatible with present observational data.
