Abstract

A list of 97 galaxies having an intense ultraviolet continuum is presented. These galaxies are located mostly in the region from 6 hr 46 min to 13 hr 53 min right ascension and from +5 to +32 deg declination. Forty-five are found to have compact starlike UV continua, and 64 are observed or suspected to exhibit emission lines. Of the latter, three objects are reliably expected to have, and two may have, the broad emission lines characteristic of Seyfert nuclei.
