Abstract

We use the largest catalog of Brightest Cluster Galaxies (BCGs) to study their broad-band properties with respect to their local environments. Over the redshift range 0.02-0.17, we measure the local projected galaxy densities surrounding BCGs from the SDSS C4 Cluster Catalog. We use tools and services provided by the Virtual Observatory to collect infrared, optical, and ultraviolet magnitudes and colors, as well as X-ray and radio data. We then combine these data to look for evidence of enhanced star-formation or nuclear activity with respect to a BCG's local galaxy environment.
