Abstract

The Swift gamma-ray burst observatory has been operating for approximately four years. Swift BAT instrument detects gamma-ray bursts in the 15-150 keV band, and triggers autonomous follow-up observations of the afterglows. While Swift is not responding to gamma-ray bursts, the BAT observes in survey mode, and covers about 75% of the sky in a given day, depending on the observing plan. BAT has accumulated a significant amount of exposure in the galactic center region. We will present hard X-ray maps of this region, and compare to RXTE PCA maps of the same in the 2-10 keV band, which we have also been obtaining for several years. Both instruments have been monitoring over a multi-year time baseline, and we will show long term light curves of galactic bulge sources.
