Abstract

Using data obtained during stellar occultations by Pluto in 2006-2008, we have searched for faint material and small satellites around Pluto. We have selected the best light curves in terms of SNR namely, the 10 April 2006 from ESO La Silla and Paranal (Chile), the 12 May 2007 from ESO Paranal, the 14 June 2007 from Pico dos Dias (Brazil) and the 24 June 2008 from Mauna Kea/CFHT (Hawaii). These light curves have been used to scan Pluto surroundings up to Nix and Hydra's orbits. The flux versus time data have been transformed into flux versus distance in Pluto's equatorial plane. The equivalent width of putative material (rings or small satellites) has been computed into sliding windows. No secondary events corresponding to rings with equivalent width of a fraction of km have been detected yet, and no individual objects with size of 100 m or so have been found. Results from all scans are being gathered and compared, and will be used to constrain the presence of debris around Pluto.
