Abstract

During PCA scans of the galactic ridge region on 2008-08-14, RXTE detected a new excess. Follow-up observations revealed a previously unknown pulsar with period 120 seconds. Unfortunately, it is difficult to determine the position of such a variable source with standard PCA scanning techniques. We performed a set of 9 raster grid observations to try to localize the source further. The strongest pulsations were detected at position (RA,Dec) = 276.02, -14.15 (J2000).
