Abstract

Swift-BAT reports the detection of a possible new hard X-ray transient near the galactic center. This source which we have designated SWIFT J1756.9-2508 is located at RA: 269.218 17:56:52 dec: -25.1250 -25d07m30.1s gal lon: 4.5558 gal lat: -0.2041 The source was first detected in the Swift/BAT Hard X-ray Transient Monitor (ATEL #904) on June 7, 2007 (MJD 54258) with a flux of approximately 13 mCrab.
