Abstract

We examine Spitzer IRS data from the public archive for the spectral signature of the exoplanet HD209458b from 8 to 13 microns. These data follow the planet through a secondary eclipse behind the star and we compare the results to existing planetary atmosphere dayside models. Significant gain instability effects the Spitzer IRS data; we present the calibration technique used in this analysis.
