Abstract

Since its inception ten years ago, the ADASS conference series has been the premiere forum for software development related to the acquisition, calibration, analysis, and dissemination of astronomical data. We review the history of the conference itself, and highlight a few of the most important advances in the software and systems, and ponder what future advances might bring. We conclude with a description of the new adass.org Web site, and the services it offers.
